Pumpkin Walls, what colour window covering?
We just painted our kitchen pumpkin. It looks great but I am not sure what kind of window covering to put on the window and what colour. Our new countertop is dark brown too. Any suggestions?

- go with either a dark brown or a classy white :)
- Any warm colors will make it cozy and inviting. Try burgandy, brown, creme, amber, and so on. As posted above, white could be an option and add a crispness to the windows. You could also try a lighter or darker shade of pumpkin sheers with a white liner.
- As an earth tone, your pumpkin will look great with a variety of other earth tones: Other dark, rich colors will create coziness and richness: think dark brown, medium to dark green, gold, brick red. Lighter colors may be a great choice if your kitchen needs all the natural light it can get: ecru, white, light tan will all provide a nice contrast against your wall color. Other considerations--window trim color? If it's white, then a white window dressing may look best. And weight of your window covering. Sometimes, dark color window dressings are heavy fabrics like velvet. You may need to balance weight with color and size (valance versus drapem, for instance).
