vertical blinds?

Does anyone have any idea how on earth to clean vertical drapes, they are a light grey in colour, and are in desperate cleaning, these blinds are the ones with the plastic type chains across the bottom.

1. i have always cleaned them by soaking them in a tub with bleach water. I do cleaning for a living.
2. i soak mine in a bath tub of warm water and a scoop of vanish oxy. i then hang them over my shower rail to drip dry a little before rehanging them up while they are still damp.
