How do I get rid of a hair dye stain on a fabric roller blind?

I've tried upholstery cleaner and someone told me WD40 is a good idea but I haven't tried it so far.

  1. If the blind isn't white then you probably won't get it back to it's original colour. Most hair dyes have peroxide in them, even the dark red etc. which will have bleached out the original colour as well as staining it. You can try normal bleach if it is pale in colour.
  2. I don't think there is anything. It's just like a fabric dye. Once it's dyed you can't change it unless you dye it another color. I've tried alot of different things and nothing has worked yet.
  3. Ah, WD40 is an oil based lubricant....I would not try that. I seriously doubt that you are going to get a hair dye stain out of anything. Sew and patch over it or get a new one.
  4. Nothing works. It has been my experience that it doesn`t come off walls, counters, clothing etc. Buy a new blind or finish the dye job.
  5. It never comes out, that's really unfortunate. I get hair color nearly every day on my clothes . I have never found anything to get hair color out after 22 years of trying. But try to find a fabric matte finish paint that matches the fabric and cover it up. At least it won't be as noticeable. Hair color is a protien dye molicule ,even mutch more resistant than blood. you can remove it from non porus areas with clorox clean up.
  6. I suggest to tint the fabric to the original or what ever color u want
