Window Covering

Does anyone have any good ideas for window covering on front door sidelights?

  1. I would suggest you choose either 1" wood blinds or cellular shades don't forget your hold down brackets.
  2. I did not like the idea that people could walk up and look in my house even though there was an etched design in the glass, so I went to Walmart and went to the aisle that has shelf liner. There is an opaque contact paper that has a diamond pattern to it that keeps out prying eyes but lets in the light. It looks really pretty also. I did the same for the window in the bathroom for privacy instead of having to order special glass. It will come off very easily with a razor blade if you want to remove it at a later date.
  3. you can buy a type of sticky back plastic that looks like coloured glass when put on to windows like this ,you can get lots of diff rent designs and colours and looks good inside and out
  4. you can apply window film they sell it at lowes at it is made at Courtaulds Films
  5. Use sheers. Top and bottom rods, similar to those used on french doors. It filters the light, thereby saving the purpose of the windows (allowing light into the room) and it will opague the view anyone might have of the interior of your home. The other option might be to cover (professionally) using reflective tint. This would allow you to "see out" but the bugs can't "see in".
