Where could I find all I need to know about choosing/installing window shutters?
I am talking about external, non-functioning types. I want to know how to measure my windows, how to choose among the different styles and materials, how to install, how to maintain. I am looking to be pointed to on-line references, hopefully one basic tutorial.

- DYI.com is a good source for do-it yourself techniques. They usually have diagrams, how to measure, installation instructions. Home Depot and Lowes websites have information on shutters. americanblind.com may be helpful, too.
- many help lines working onthiis.
- two words HOME DEPOT!!
- What I did when I did mine was to go to Home Depot and also to Lowe's and ask the person there for the facts about installation. Sometimes they know some and sometimes a lot and sometimes very little.. SO.. I go in again at a later time and ask a different person.. It may take me some time but it is better than reading about it on the Internet
- home depot
- Homes Depot, Lowes.
- You need to verify your e-mail address and/or enable receive messages - you answered a question of mine but I was unable to contact you to tell you I am familiar with Bay Park and had many friends from there - we probably have common acquaintances. www.doityourself.com/ http://www.shutterland.net/ http://www.shutterland.net/shutter-questions.htm The second website leads to the third (as you may have noted) where your measuring questions are answered.
