Window Covering

What kind of door/window covering can I put up at my back atrium/french doors?

Door has window panes covering whole door to the floor. One door opens, other door doesn't. Cats have destroyed all the mini blinds I have put up, wanting to look out. I can't get rid of cats. I don't want doors left uncovered for anyone to see in. Currently have curtain toppers and mini blinds up.

1. We use vertical blinds on our french doors.
2. go to jcpenny.com and look at their window treatments. They have some that hook at the top and bottom with a tie in the middle. This lets some light in. There are also roller shades that work for doors.
3. Use self-adhesive plastic designed for privacy. Take care to chose the thickest, as it is like the old sticky-backed plastic, and quite tear resistant. It provides a frosted/ patterned effect, but still allows the light in.
4. Sheers work really well, both for filtering the light and for keeping the cats at bay. Cats don't like getting their nails caught in sheer material and they'll stay away after the first tangle.
5. Use verticals..if you need the privacy close them..some are made so that you can draw them over to the outside edge when you don't need them closed. You can have them mounted up under the valance ow whatever you are using at the top. You can have a person from a store come out and give you ideas....doesn't cost anything and then tell them you want to thkni about it for while...or just order them on the spot!! 6. Roman shades and leave them open at the bottom the height of the cat's head when it's sitting up.
